The purpose of GDPR

Modified on Thu, 12 Oct 2023 at 01:35 PM

The purpose of the GDPR and the UK’s Data Protection Bill is to provide a set of standardised data protection laws in line with the EU (and post-Brexit UK), which give UK citizens greater control over their personal data.

For example, it gives you greater transparency into how your data is being used and ensures that the organisations you entrust with your data are taking care of it. The regulation comes at a time when every individual is generating more and more personal data as they use more services and technologies.
