This section can be used for adding individual defects on an ad-hoc basis.
Step 1: Within plot view select + New Defect
Step 2: The scheme and plot/address details will auto-populate.
Click Next
Step 3: Select the Defect category/sub-category for the Defect and a description detailing the defect. Complete the details for Priority based upon the urgency of the defect. For example, 'Emergency' could be a water leak and 'Low' could be used for a nail pop.
Location is a free type box where you can give further information as to where the defect can be found e.g. Living Room, Bathroom etc. This field will not be visible within the Resident Portal.
Please note, account configuration will vary. Additional boxes may be visible within this screen for Ticket Type/Defect Reference etc.
Step 4: The contact details will auto-populate for accounts with a Resident Portal based on the primary contact from the 'Contacts' tab. For the details to auto-populate, the Resident must
- have a start date
- be a confirmed user
- be within their DLP based on the warranty start/end dates for the plot.
If this does not auto-populate, details can be entered manually. 'Full Name' and 'Contact Number 1' are mandatory fields.
Click Next
Step 5: Review the details and add image(s) within 'Add Documents' if required.
Clicking 'Choose Files' will allow you to search for your saved images or clicking 'Image' will take you to your camera, if you are using a mobile device.
Step 6: Once complete, click on Post Defect or if you have another defect to add click on Post Defect and Add New
